If articles of the DPA or GDPR are mentioned below, it is always decisive whether data processing takes place within the scope of the DPA and/or the GDPR. These standards are only applicable insofar as the material and geographical scope of the respective provision is also affected.

1. Scope and purpose of the processing of personal data

We process personal data of visitors to our website in accordance with the data protection provisions applicable to the respective process and, in principle, only in order to provide a functional website and to define, control and implement our content, strategies, offers and services.

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user's computer. For this purpose, the IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, we use the data to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. The data is not analyzed for marketing purposes in this context.

2. Description and scope of data processing

Every time you visit our website and transmit data via contact forms, our system automatically collects data and information from your computer system. The following data is collected:

Information about the browser type (and its version), the operating system, the internet service provider, the IP address, the date and time of access, websites from which the data subject's system accesses our website, websites that are accessed by the visitor's system via our website, clickstreams.

The data is also stored in the log files of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data.

3. Legal basis for the processing of personal data

The legal basis for the temporary storage of personal data and log files is Art. 31 para. 1 FADP and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, as the storage is necessary to safeguard an overriding interest of our company or a third party. The overriding interests lie in the fact that we cannot offer the website if technically required settings are not available, stored and otherwise processed. Processing is also necessary in order to detect, defend against and document attacks on the integrity and functionality of the website. This outweighs the interests of visitors to the website, as they visit the website of their own accord and can end the processing of their personal data by simply leaving the website.

4. Duration of storage

The personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

In the case of data storage in log files, this is the case after 7 months at the latest, starting with the generation of the log file. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of visitors are deleted or anonymized so that it is no longer possible to identify the accessing client.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We do not pass on personal data that we collect as part of the website to third parties, with the exception of

  • companies within the Bell Food Group, i.e. the group of companies to which we belong;
  • service providers who support us in the care, maintenance, use, evaluation and updating of the website;any government institutions and courts, insofar as they can order us to provide data with binding effect;

In this context, we would like to point out that we provide generic contact details via the website (e.g. info@bellfoodgroup.com, contact forms and central telephone numbers) and that third parties support us in processing such inquiries. Emails to the generic email addresses and contact forms are checked by third parties for malware, phishing, spam and other attacks - also for the security of our IT systems - pre-sorted in relation to topics and contact persons and then sent to the relevant employees of our company.

We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect the data you transmit to us from being viewed by third parties on the internet. This can be recognized by the fact that the domain in the browser is preceded by "https://" and a lock symbol is displayed. If SSL / TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

6. Place of data processing

The data is generally processed in the European Economic Area and Switzerland. The EU Commission has adopted an adequacy decision in favor of Switzerland within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR (2000/518/EC).

Data that is processed by third parties, e.g. in accordance with section 12 or the provision, use and maintenance of the software or hardware we use and our company's IT landscape as a whole, is sometimes also processed in third countries. In accordance with Art. 16 et seq. FADP and Art. 44 et seq. of the GDPR, we have made the necessary agreements and taken the necessary measures to ensure the lawfulness of the data transfer
